That's a cracking thread TC,never seen that before At what stage do you flatline them...theres more hole than net on some of them

I read this last season blagged my head to death so i tie together with fishing line cant see it n v strong no slipping if done right

Those were off cuts of nets that I used to demonstrate how to mend them with. That said I do have some nets here that are getting on for 30 years old, look more like a patchwork quilts than nets but they still work.

No thanks there fine they still work fine lol as my sons putting the stinkers away and feeding them I hang up the nets and repair any burst meshes with what's too hand

As said when do you call a halt ? I don't mind repairing a mesh as I hang the nets up after a days ferreting but I want in for a bath and my tea . I might be prepared to go to that effort for a long net but no a purse net , One of the guys gave me a few to patch up but I just binned them for it only takes half a hour to rattle off a new four foot net

Does anyone know how to start a 6ft purse net i.e how many meshes n whats the maximum number of meshes in the middle to get it 6ft tia ruggers
